BOSS Engineering, a leader in design, engineering and precision manufacturing across the Australian Agriculture and Automotive Aftermarket industries is excited to announce the acquisition of Western Australia based Calibre Spraying for an undisclosed value.
Calibre Spraying are a leading designer and manufacturer of trailed spraying equipment for broadacre applications. The Calibre Spraying product range is recognized as an industry leading, Australian designed and manufactured offering that has focused on delivering Grower solutions through incorporation of technology and highest standards of quality. Included in the Calibre product range are the Swarm Series sprayers, specifically designed for use in autonomous spraying solutions.
BOSS Engineering’s acquisition of Calibre Spraying rapidly enables the geographic expansion of BOSS and Calibre Spraying activities throughout Australia, particularly in Western Australia for the BOSS product lines, and particularly in Eastern Australia for Calibre Spraying product lines. Additionally, the acquisition enables an enhanced product offering to deliver to existing BOSS and Calibre customers, as well as growing a broader customer base for all products.
Calibre Spraying’s foundation and growth has been achieved through principles and commitment to Australian growers that very much replicate those of BOSS Engineering. Calibre Spraying’s future under the BOSS banner will unlock significant potential in product development, design and technology integration, as well as manufacturing efficiencies and excellence on a larger scale.
Daniel Watkins, founder of Calibre Spraying, will continue to lead the spraying business, as well as contributing design and innovation capability to the wider BOSS group. Founding team member Scott Morrell, will also continue to be integral to the spraying business and additionally will contribute to the broader BOSS Business across all products. The same Calibre Spraying rich customer experience and value proposition will continue to be delivered deep into the future.
